Stephen & Teresa met in Chile a while back, and married there earlier this year (she's a native). They decided to have another wedding in America so their friends and family in the States could attend and see how happy two people can actually be. I photographed the reception at the Wash Park boathouse, and had an amazing time.
Isn't the bride beautiful? Now I know what inspired Chilean poets like Pablo Neruda to write those poems. Oy. South America, que continente hermoso.
Serendipity Catering makes the best baklava this side of the Bosporus, and All Mixed Up Bartending know how to keep the party running more smoothly. Cheers~

Denver's Botanic Gardens Revealed
Denver's Botanic Gardens was free on Sunday and I managed to get some images in before they closed (why don't they stay open after 5pm in the summertime?? Oy, boggles the mind).
I love shooting giant plants because they have so many angles and details to them. The challenge is to find the beauty in whole canopies of giant leaves. There are certain angles that are truly beautiful. I think I found some of them!
Photographers: these images are minimally Photoshopped. Some of these plants/flowers are so rich in their colors, there's very little need for any saturation. I was however, in a blurry edges mood this round, so you'll see some of that. Just love that effect. More later!
